About the role
As a FinlandWay® Programme Mentor, you will be part of a team of pedagogical and operational experts all striving for excellence. Your primary responsibility is to serve as the main contact for the pedagogical management of our partner schools. This involves providing ongoing support, supervision and training to teachers worldwide, utilising your expertise in Finnish early childhood education across different cultural contexts.
Product development responsibilities include curriculum development, creating and refining teacher training modules and pedagogical support materials. The role requires travelling to train and support FinlandWay teachers on-site, ensuring high-quality, consistent and effective implementation of our educational program.
About you
At least a Bachelor’s degree in Early years education and a minimum of three years of experience in teaching in Finnish early years settings is required. Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of Finnish early years methodology is a must.
The role requires enthusiasm for customer-facing work, good communication and listening skills, cultural sensitivity and a firm problem-solving attitude. The ability to apply pedagogical knowledge in a variety of contexts is crucial. Excellent English language skills are essential, other languages are considered an advantage. The candidate must be able to travel abroad for short-term teacher training from time to time.
Professional teacher education is seen as an advantage. Ideally, you possess experience in creating and developing learning materials. We also value other experience in training provision. Work experience from abroad and in different cultures is seen as an advantage.
This full-time role is permanent and starts at the end of September, a specific start date will be agreed with the selected candidate. The company language is English. Work can be done remotely but we expect you to be able to meet the team in Helsinki on weekly bases.
